My mother always says if you want to get a basic understanding of something start at a fourth grade level. So, lately I’ve been learning a lot about physics from a fantastic site called Physics 4 Kids. I read once that physics became rarified because Academics didn’t want to be bothered by lay people. And even though I never fully understand things like the physics of time travel, I’m pretty happy that I can now make sense of the periodic table of elements (which relates to physics because all elements are made of atoms).
But more than that I’ve got a new favorite Mad Scientist. His name is David Deutsch and he is utterly brilliant. See for yourself here on Ted Talks.
